There will be a New Mexico Racing Commission hearing on Friday, September 28 at 1:00 pm. Hidalgo Downs, LLC will be making a presentation to the Racing Commission for the sixth and final horse racing license in New Mexico. Please come out and support this effort to bring a Racino to Lordsburg and give our community the biggest economic boost.
Please come out and enjoy some great music, lots of good food and a full weekend of local entertainment. Come check out these bands from Las Cruces and Safford, AZ.
We will have Tequila Night from Las Cruces a long with the Eli James Band from Las Cruces and headlining the weekend festivities is a band from Safford, AZ called BoomTown. There will be a talent show and corn hole tournaments going on throughout the weekend.

Input on Public Projects Sought for City of Lordsburg
Infrastructure and Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP)
The City of Lordsburg wishes to inform all interested parties that a public meeting will be held at 409 West Wabash, Lordsburg, NM the following date, time and location:
Wednesday, August 1, 2018 11:00 am City Hall Council Chambers
The purpose of this meeting is to seek input from the citizens of the City of Lordsburg on projects for inclusion in a local infrastructure capital improvement plan, a plan that establishes planning priorities for anticipated capital projects.
Capital projects may include but are not limited to the following areas: Administrative Facilities, Clean Energy, Streets, Roads, Sidewalks, Curbs, Gutters, Bridges, and Bicycle Facilities, Housing, Sewer Collection and Treatment, Storm and Surface Water Control, Water, Solid Waste, Public Utilities, Transit, Airports, Parks and Trails, Land and Site Acquisition, Community Service Facilities, Public Safety and Emergency, Libraries, Renovation, and Regional Projects.
The plan incorporates policy direction, funding time frames, estimated costs, justifications, and the details of each specific infrastructure capital improvement project proposed, by year, for a 5 year period.
